This macro allows you to return the contents of a Configuration Question.

It will also allow you to return the contents of the "Notes" and "Vendor Notes" configuration fields.

The Technology Road Map Page is a good example of how to use {ConnectWise Configuration Answer}

When you start typing {ConnectWise Configuration Answer} a context menu will appear.  You don't have to type the whole thing in, you can select from the context menu.

Select the ConnectWise Space (or the space you are using as your template).

Browse to the Technology Road Map page.

Click on Edit.

You will see a page similar to the one to the right appear.

To add an additional {ConnectWise Configuration Answer} put the cursor where you want the answer to appear and start typing:

 {ConnectWise Configuration Answer}

To edit the Macro click on it to highlight it.

You will then have the option either Edit or Remove

Click on Edit

The ConnectWise Configuration Answer macro is made up of 3 parts.

The first part specifies the Configuration Type that you are going to use.

The second part specifies the Search Criteria so that you can select a specific configuration

The third and last part is the actual Question that you want the Answer returned from.

To the right you can see the Configuration Type highlighted.

Enter the Configuration Type that will be selecting the Answer from.

To the right you can see the Search Criteria highlighted.

If you want to filter by Configuration Status then type the Status in the Status field.

The Search Question Type indicates if you are going to reference the question by the question Sequence Line Number or by the Question name.

If you are using Sequence Line Number then pad it out to 2 decimal places (0.00)

The Search Question Answer is the value to filter on.

So in this example the first configuration of Configuration Type Notes where the Answer to Question Number 1.00 will be used to return the Answer.

The third and last part is the actual Question that you want the Answer returned from.

Type the Question Name that you want the answer returned for.

You can also use "Notes" and "Vendor Notes" to return either of those fields.

You can click on the Preview button any time that you want to have the system execute the macro so that you can see the results.

Click on Save when you are finished.
